It is recalled that last year 3145 companies, of which 650 foreigners, participated in FACIM and was attended by 28 countries.
During the seven days of the event 1502 business deals were established and this year FACIM hopes to overcome this hnumber.
For the preparation and organization of the 51st edition of FACIM, the organizers are committed to improving all organizational aspects and hope that the 51st edition will be another pillar in building a common market of southern Africa and to contribute to the dissemination of economic potentiality Mozambique and SADC, an investment mobilizing factor in the region.
Registrations take place at IPEX from the month of February and go until 31st of July and are at a good pace.
In terms of domestic companies so far: more than 600 companies are enrolled, a number that may rise after the time of registration. As for foreign companies, IPEX already has the record of 230 for the 51st edition of the Maputo International Fair.
For this edition, FACIM will feature nine pavilions, Nachingweia being Matchedje, GwazaMuthini and Chai - to accommodate Countries and foreign exhibitors. The Mozambique and Ricaltha pavilions will accommodate the provinces and national exhibitors, while Kongwa will be designed to host ministries and public institutions.
The Tunduru pavilion will host the farming sector and further products and agricultural-equipment CEPAGRI.
The highest point of this fair will be the presence of the President of the Republic; Filipe Nyusi, which will be his first time in FACIM as Head of State. He will visit the halls and grounds.
It is also planned for the awards ceremony of the largest exporters to be hosted as well as award the best essays of students from three secondary schools in the country.
In terms of covered exhibition area, FACIM will this year, have 27.000m2 (custom tents, business centers and room for conferences and seminars) and 20,000m2 for discovery area (outside area).
